Home/Planning My Project

Selecting the type of stone material and then choosing among the huge variety of colors in one of the most enjoyable difficult decisions you can make. We are here to help you make the right choice for your application, taking into consideration the purpose of the material, working into the design of the room as well as fitting into your budget.

You can browse our huge in-stock selection of full-sized granite slabs, as well as a variety of sample tiles, to aid in your decision-making process. We also have remnants for smaller projects.

Your estimate will include standard backsplash, which is a height of 4” for kitchen and 3” for bathrooms. Some custom backsplashes require special cuts or full splash that stands between the upper cabinets and the countertops. We can also provide these special services.

When you choose a cooking surface, you will need to let us know which style you will be using.

Cooktops and slide-in ranges require special accommodations that must be taken into account for estimation and fabrication.

We also need to know if your cooktop will require a downdraft

You need to select and purchase your sink(s) early. Mountaintop Stoneworks, Inc., provides a selection of quality, in-house options. Prior to cutting your stone, we need to know the make, model, and location of your sink.

Each sink has a specific template that is necessary for cutting its opening. Holes for faucets, sprayers, soap dispensers, water purification systems, etc., are also drilled during fabrication.

We will be happy to assist you in laying out the configuration of these holes.

We offer several methods of obtaining an estimate for your countertops. If you would like one of our measurement experts to come and discuss available options for your project, we will be happy to schedule an appointment at your convenience.

If your project is for a New Home, the most efficient procedure is to bring us a blueprint or drawing of your cabinet layout.

If you are Remodeling an existing area, providing us with a blueprint or sketch of your new design will allow us to prepare your estimate quickly.

If you fax, email, or even drop off the drawings, we will return your estimate promptly. We can also provide you with copies of our Countertop Design Sheet.
